Spitfire Roundel

This is a print of the 'Spitfire' Roundel.

This spitfire roundel was originally created in recycled acrylic layers as a tribute to the iconic World War II era plane the Spitfire. My grandfather trained and flew these planes at the end of the war, originally flying the Spitfire before being stationed in the pacific flying its aircraft carrier version, the Seafire.

When he died we found his flight log book in the bottom of a cupboard in his house. Full of detail of flights and photos of his time spent training and flying all over the world. This is my little tribute to that era. Not to mention the instantly recognisable, iconic graphics and colours.
